TERMS OF SERVICE & PRIVACY POLICY

Please read these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before using Actors Academy Finland´s Services, booking events or ordering products. This is a governing contract between you and Actors Academy Oy/Ltd. By purchasing a workshop, training or a product the customer accepts the below Terms of Service.


Actors Academy Oy, (FI29803421) sells products to private persons and corporates in Finland and abroad. We reserve all rights to change the Terms and Service, and the prices. All prices include the VAT 24%.

PRIVACY POLICY

Personal information is used for arranging bookings and orders, site user experience improvement. We do not collect any data through cookies etc., excluding the information you provide us with when buying our Services or when signing up to our newsletter. We do not release customer information to any third party members. All customer information such as bank details and home addresses are collected for the security of payments.


ORDERS

Orders are collected from the online shop selection by adding the products to the shopping basket. The order is confirmed by using the check-out functionality in the online shop to pay for the purchase. By confirming an order, you accept these terms of service, product pricing and shipping costs. An e-mail confirmation will be delivered in case an e-mail address is provided by the time of confirming the order. The e-mail confirmation lists the products ordered and the price breakdown.


PAYMENTS

Bambora PayForm (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of the online shop. The Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland. The payment process is conducted in the online service of the Bambora. Bambora or Paybyway Oy is shown as the payment received in the bank account listing and in the invoice. Paying with Bambora is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections.

The trade happens between the online customer and the online shop. The online shop is responsible for all obligations related to the trade.

PAYMENT METHODS

With Bambora PayForm you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, MobilePay, Masterpass, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards and Jousto.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.

Jousto: With Jousto invoice and part-payment you can pay in over 4000 online shops in Finland. With Jousto invoice, you get 14 days payment time (invoice fee 4,90 eur). With Jousto part-payment, you get max 12 months payment time (invoice fee 4,90 eur and monthly interest rate 2,42%), max amount 3000 eur. https://www.jousto.com

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS AND TRAININGS AND PHYSICAL PRODUCTS

Workshops & Events
The booking for events and workshops is binding. You can cancel 30 days prior the event and receive a 50% return of your payment. You can pass on your spot to another person without an extra fee up to event day.


Physical Products
The customer has a right to change or return ordered physical products (see separate intructions for Keep Safe -face maks below) during 14 days of receiving the order. The customer has a right to change or return all or part of the products in the order. The customer is responsible of any return shipping costs. The changed and returned products must be unused and in the original packaging. If you wish to change or return products, please contact us first for the instructions. Please attach your name, contact details and your bank account number on your email to office@actorsacademy.fi for receiving the refund.
The customer has right to cancel an order before the order is dispatched. The cancellation must be done in written by an e-mail to the customer support of the online shop.
The online shop is liable for defects in the sold products according to the applicable law. Please contact the customer support of the online shop immediately in a case of reclamation. The consumer has a right to file a dispute in the Consumer Disputes Board in a case of dispute between the online shop and the consumer.

  • RETURN POLICY FOR KEEP SAFE – FACE MASKS:
    – You can only return a Keep Safe -mask if it is in it’s original packaging and the package is UNOPENED
    – The Keep Safe -mask can be returned withing 14 days of receiving the porduct. Please email us at: office@actorsacademy.fi to notice us of your wish to return the product and send it by post to:

One Year Training, March 2021 – Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy  

 

  1. The Student applies to the training through an online application and a phone interview. After being accepted into the Training by the Actors Academy, the Student confirms their place in the Training by an email reply and by paying the deposit of 1500€ within the time given for the payment. In case the payment is not done in due time, Actors Academy has the right to pass the place to another student. The deposit is non-refundable. Payment methods offered include at the moment online bank transfers, credit card, mobile pay and Jousto payment services.
  2. The remining final amount, 5250€, of the Training fee is due 16th of February 2021. The Actors Academy will send a separate email reminder to the Student with the payment link at least three days prior to the payment due date.
  3. Terms for Student Cancellation:
  1.     Cancel before 17th February 2021:
  2.     5250€ will not be charged (deposit 1500€ is non-refundable)
  3.     Unless there is a waiting list, the Student has the option to pass their place / recommend a new participant to replace them in the Training. This is dependent on the new applicant being accepted into the training by the Actors Academy. If the applicant is accepted there will be a 150€ administration fee that will be charged from the original Student. The new participant will be charged the Full Training Tuition fee 6750€ for the course. The full tuition fee from new student needs to be paid within one week of original student’s announcement to step out of the Training. After the new student has paid the full tuition fee of 6750€ the Actors Academy will refund 6600€ to the original Student. 
  4.     Cancel between 17th February 2021 and one week before the Training starts:
  5.     Refund of 5250€ minus 500€ self-liability will only be granted if the student has an official medical certificate stating a clear reason or serious impediment that prevents them from participating in the training course and that the impediment has not been in the Student’s awareness prior to their original confirmation to the Training (deposit 1500€ non-refundable). 
  6. Unless there is a waiting list, the Student has the option to pass their place / recommend a new participant to replace them in the Training. This is dependent on the new applicant being accepted into the training by the Actors Academy. If the applicant is accepted there will be a 150€ administration fee that will be charged from the original Student. The new participant will be charged the Full Training Tuition fee 6750€ for the course. The full tuition fee from new student needs to be paid within one week of original student’s announcement to step out of the Training. After the new student has paid the full tuition fee of 6750€ the Actors Academy will refund 6600€ to the original Student.
  7.     Cancel less than one week prior the beginning or after the start of the Training:

                             No refunds offered. Actors Academy highly recommends the Student to make sure they have a solid insurance coverage to help them in such situation. 

  1. If the Student has not paid the Full Training Tuition fee (6750€) by 16th of February 2021, and has not made a new payment agreement accepted by the Actors Academy within one week after the payment due date, the Student will automatically lose their place in the Training and the Actors Academy has the right to pass on the Student’s place to another student (deposit 1500€ non-refundable). 
  2. The Student is required to stay absent from class in case they have any covid related symptoms. They are required to follow the current government protocol on testing and quarantine rules before physically joining the class again. The absent student will be offered a possibility to follow the class via Zoom or other online video platform offered by the Actors Academy.
  3. The Student’s absence from the Training modules or sessions due to illness, covid related symptoms, work or other personal reasons do not authorize the Student to receive any form of refunds or compensatory training.
  4. The Actors Academy is responsible for the Training to take place as planned, but the Actors Academy has the right to make changes that do not affect the value or wholeness of the Training as originally presented. In case the Training is partly cancelled or postponed by the organizer or governmental restrictions, (i.e. a teacher falling ill, being quarantined, social and travel restrictions etc.), the cancelled Training modules or parts will be offered on another date with an effort to fit every Students’ schedule. In case the new Training schedule is not possible for the Student, the Student is authorized to receive an equal amount of training on other workshops/training modules offered by the Actors Academy. There will be up to three offerings within one year from the first date the Student refuses to take part in, and in case none of the three options fit the Student, the Actors Academy is no longer responsible to offer compensatory training. In situations where physically live classes are not possible, they might be offered on an online platform instead. Online classes will be kept on a small scale, taking up to max. 10% of class hours.
  5. In case the Actors Academy finds the Student unsuitable / deemed unfit for the Training, Actors Academy has the right to ask the Student to discontinue in the Training at any stage of the Training and make the final decision regarding the matter. In such case, Actors Academy will refund a pro-rata Tuition fee to the Student.
  6. The Student shall be responsible for maintaining and obtaining  their own equipment and personal belongings, as well as the Student is responsible for their own safety during attendance of the training sessions. The Actors Academy recommends the Student for checking that their accident, health and other insurances are valid and up to date.
  7. The Actors Academy’s responsibility is to ensure the accessibility and safety of the training spaces.

WARRANTY AND GUARANTEES

Personal belongings and Safety
The client/ service user shall be responsible for maintaining and obtaining his/her own equipment and personal belongings during attendance of our events, workshops and trainings.
The client/ service user shall be responsible for his/her own safety during attendance of our events, workshops and trainings. The Service provider recommends the user of checking that his/her accident insurance is valid and up to date.
The Service provider’s promise is to ensure the accessibility and safety of the organised events, workshops and trainings spaces.
