TERMS OF SERVICE & PRIVACY POLICY

Please read these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before using Actors Academy Finland´s Services, booking events or ordering products. This is a governing contract between you and Actors Academy Oy/Ltd. By purchasing a workshop, training or a product the customer accepts the below Terms of Service.
Actors Academy Oy, (FI29803421) sells products to private persons and corporates in Finland and abroad. We reserve all rights to change the Terms and Service, and the prices. All prices include the VAT.

ORDERS
Orders are collected from the online shop by adding the products to the shopping cart. The order is confirmed by using the check-out functionality of the online shop to pay for the order. By confirming an order, you accept these terms and conditions, product pricing and shipping costs. An e-mail confirmation will be delivered in case an e-mail address is provided by the time of confirming the order. The e-mail confirmation lists the products ordered and the price breakdown.
PAYMENTS
Visma Pay (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of the online shop. Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland. The payment process is conducted in the online service of Visma Pay. Visma Pay or Paybyway Oy is shown as the receiver of your payment in the bank account listing and in your invoice. Paying with Visma Pay is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections.
The trade happens between the online customer and the online shop. The online shop is responsible for all obligations related to the trade. Read more about Visma Pay: https://www.visma.fi/vismapay/

PAYMENT METHODS
With Visma Pay you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, Jousto, Enterpay Company Invoice, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards.
MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.

Jousto: Jousto invoice and part-payment is a Finnish service for making purchases quickly and safely. Jousto is for private persons having their economy in balance. With Jousto you will get 30 days time to pay without interest or expenses. After you have received an invoice, you can decide to pay it at once or in parts. You can pay our purchase in up to 36 parts, starting from 9,90 eur/month. Expenses for Jousto part-payment are 3,90 eur/month and 19,90% interest. With Jousto you can pay purchases from 30 to 3000 eur. Aurajoki Nordic Oy issues the credit. Read more from www.jousto.com.
Enterpay Company Invoice: You can pay the order with an invoice by using Enterpay Company Invoice. The payment term is 14 days. Invoicing fee is 5,00 EUR. Invoice will be sent by Arvato Financial Systems and credit is granted by Enterpay Finance Oy. Terms of service are available at https://www.enterpay.fi/ehdot-palvelu/
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR
Workshops & Events (Please see the bottom of the page specific policy for the One Year Training and please see specific policy for Retreats on their own event page on the website: www.actorsacademy.fi, or on their own product page here on the shop.)
The booking for all events and workshops is binding. You can cancel 30 days prior the event and receive a 50% refund of your payment. You can pass on your spot to another person without an extra fee up to one day prior the workshop/ event.
Physical Products
The customer has a right to change or return ordered physical products (see separate intructions for Keep Safe -face maks below) during 14 days of receiving the order. The customer has a right to change or return all or part of the products in the order. The customer is responsible of any return shipping costs. The changed and returned products must be unused and in the original packaging. If you wish to change or return products, please contact us first for the instructions. Please attach your name, contact details and your bank account number on your email to office@actorsacademy.fi for receiving the refund.
The customer has right to cancel an order before the order is dispatched. The cancellation must be done in written by an e-mail to the customer support of the online shop.
The online shop is liable for defects in the sold products according to the applicable law. Please contact the customer support of the online shop immediately in a case of reclamation. The consumer has a right to file a dispute in the Consumer Disputes Board in a case of dispute between the online shop and the consumer.
Shipping for Physical Products
Orders are being shipped during workdays. Products from the stock are usually delivered within 3-8 workdays. Delivery for products that are not in stock usually takes 1-3 weeks. Shipping costs are defined by the selected delivery method, possible extra services, shipment weight and size. The shipping costs can be seen in the check-out functionality before confirming the order.
Please inform us without a delay – at least within 14 days from receiving the package – in case a product has been lost or damaged in shipping. The logistics company must be also informed regarding any products damaged in shipping.
Cancelling a Physical Product order, defect liability and reclamations
The customer has right to cancel an order before the order is dispatched. The cancellation must be done in written by an e-mail to the customer support of the online shop.

WARRANTY AND GUARANTEES
Personal belongings and Safety
The client/ service user shall be responsible for maintaining and obtaining his/her own equipment and personal belongings during attendance of our events, workshops and trainings.
The client/ service user shall be responsible for his/her own safety during attendance of our events, workshops and trainings. The Service provider recommends the user of checking that his/her accident insurance is valid and up to date.
The Service provider’s promise is to ensure the accessibility and safety of the organised events, workshops and trainings spaces.
AAF ONE YEAR TRAINING
Actors Academy One Year Training in Helsinki, September 2025 – Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy
1. Application & Enrollment
The Student applies to the training through an online application and interview process. Upon acceptance into the Training by Actors Academy, the Student confirms their place by sending a confirmation email and paying a non-refundable deposit of 1,500€ within the specified timeframe. Failure to confirm or pay within the given period may result in the Student’s place being offered to another applicant.
Payment methods for the deposit include online bank transfers, credit card, mobile pay, and selected third-party financing and invoicing options, all processed through Visma Pay Oy.
The remaining balance of the Training fee (5,950€) must be paid in full by August 5, 2025.
- Payment Terms & Default
The final tuition fee is due August 5th. If the Student does not complete the full Training Tuition fee (7,450€) by August 5, 2025, and does not arrange an alternative payment agreement with Actors Academy within one week of the due date, the Student will automatically forfeit their place in the Training. Actors Academy may then offer the spot to another applicant. Late payments may be subject to additional fees or interest. The deposit payment is non-refundable.
If a separate payment agreement is made for installment payments, the Student remains liable for the full tuition fee (7,450€) even if they choose to withdraw or are unable to continue the training for any reason.

3.a. Cancellations Before August 5, 2025:
- The remaining 5,950€ will not be charged (the 1,500€ deposit is non-refundable).
- If no waiting list exists, the Student may recommend a replacement participant. The new applicant must be accepted into the Training by Actors Academy. If accepted, a 200€ administration fee will be deducted from the original Student’s refunded amount after the new participant has paid the full 7,450€ tuition fee.
3.b. Cancellations Between August 5, 2025, and One Week Before Training Start:
- The 1,500€ deposit remains non-refundable.
- If the Student has paid the full 7,450€ tuition, they may receive a refund of 5,950€ minus a 500€ self-liability fee, but only with an official medical certificate proving a serious new injury, illness, or condition unknown to the Student at the time of enrollment.
- The Student may also recommend a replacement participant (as above), but a 400€ administration fee applies.
3.c. Cancellations Less Than One Week Before or After Training Start:
- No refunds will be issued.
- Actors Academy strongly recommends that the Student obtain insurance coverage to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
- Student Absences & Missed Sessions
- The Student will not receive any refunds, compensatory training, or fee reductions for missed sessions due to illness, travel restrictions, work, personal matters, or any reasons not caused by Actors Academy. In case the student misses class, they are expected to reach out to the group or another student to make sure they have the necessary information to move forward with their homework and studies.
- If the Student is ill or absent for other reasons, they may request to join via Zoom, which will be offered subject to availability.
- Training Adjustments & Force Majeure
- Actors Academy reserves the right to make changes to the Training that do not affect its overall value.
- If parts of the Training must be canceled or postponed due to force majeure (e.g., governmental restrictions, teacher illness, travel disruptions), replacement training will be offered within one year. Up to two alternative dates will be provided, and if the Student rejects all options, Actors Academy will not be liable to provide further training or compensation.
- If in-person training is impossible due to external factors, up to 30% of the Training may be delivered online.
- Code of Conduct & Student Dismissal
Actors Academy is committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment. The Academy reserves the right to dismiss a Student from the program without refund if they engage in behaviors that violate these standards.
6.a. Non-Severe Misconduct & Three-Warning System
For repeated but non-severe misconduct, the Student will receive up to three warnings. On the third warning, Actors Academy reserves the right to expel the Student. Examples of such misconduct include:
- Absence from class without valid reason.
- Repeated lateness that disrupts the class.
- Failure to complete assigned work or preparation.
- Lack of commitment to partner work or group exercises.
- Continuous resistance to guidance and coaching.
- Disruptive behavior that negatively impacts the learning environment.
- Disrespectful communication toward fellow students, instructors, or staff.
6.b. Severe Misconduct & Immediate Expulsion
For serious breaches of conduct, Actors Academy has the right to expel the Student immediately without prior warnings and without refund. Examples of severe misconduct include:
- Violence or threats toward any participant, instructor, or staff.
- Harassment or bullying of any kind.
- Destruction or damage to training spaces or equipment.
- Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during training hours.
- Grossly inappropriate behavior that jeopardizes the safety or well-being of others.
Actors Academy’s decision regarding student expulsion is final.
- Health & Safety Policy
- Actors Academy does not require vaccinations for participation.
- Students are expected to follow normal health etiquette (e.g., staying home if they have a fever, excessive coughing, or symptoms that clearly disrupt class).
- Liability & Insurance
- The Student is responsible for their own safety and belongings throughout the Training.
- Actors Academy is not liable for any injuries, lost or stolen property, or travel disruptions.
- The Student is strongly encouraged to hold valid health, accident, and travel insurance.
- Actors Academy ensures the safety and accessibility of training spaces but does not assume liability for accidents beyond its control.

AAF ADVANCED ACTOR’S LAB
Actors Academy Advanced Actor’s Lab in Helsinki, August 2025 – Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy
